Is annihilation true?

The purpose of this website is to learn if the Bible teaches that the unsaved are annihilated upon death from this world. It is not our purpose to attack anyone in any way. Our purpose is only to learn what the Bible teaches on this very important topic.

We all have loved ones that are not saved and therefore we would very much prefer that the Bible would teach that the unsaved are annihilated. Then, there would be no continual suffering for them. However, we must examine what the Bible says about the eternity of the unsaved.

We have prepared three studies on the Biblical definition of "life" and "death" for mankind which is a key point in this question. We have posted several studies with many passages that prove that the unsaved will consciously awake at Judgment Day. Also, we have posted a study that shows 8 proofs of the eternal character of the conscious suffering of the unsaved.
